Overview
Roseville Kindergarten offers both long day care (8am-5:30pm) and preschool hours (9am-3pm) at the same centre. Same educators, same classrooms, same curriculum. Families choose the option that fits their working week, or mix and match.
We're an independent, privately-run preschool and long day care in Roseville that has grown slowly and carefully for over 30 years. Several of our educators have been with us for 5 to 15+ years. That continuity matters.
Hours & days
- Long day care: Monday to Friday, 8:00am to 5:30pm
- Preschool hours: Monday to Friday, 9:00am to 3:00pm
- Open: 49 weeks per year (closed for a short break across Christmas/New Year and on public holidays)
- Enrolment options: 2, 3, 4, or 5 days per week
Fees & Child Care Subsidy
Our 2026 fees:
| Option | Hours | Per day |
|---|---|---|
| Preschool hours | 9:00am - 3:00pm | $135 |
| Long day care | 8:00am - 5:30pm | $166 |
Fees include afternoon tea and the full educational program. Morning tea and lunch are brought from home (our suggestions here).
We're a CCS-approved service, most eligible families significantly reduce their out-of-pocket cost through the Child Care Subsidy. Read our full guide to childcare costs in Sydney for an explanation of how the subsidy works.
Age groups
We cater for children aged 3 to 6, across 2 classrooms. We try to group older and younger children separately where it makes sense, but it isn't a strict cut-off:
- Junior classroom: Generally our younger group
- Senior classroom: Generally our older group, including children preparing for school
Each classroom is led by a qualified Early Childhood Educator with support from experienced teaching assistants. Our staff-to-child ratios exceed National Quality Standard minimums.
What makes us different from other Roseville childcare centres
There are several childcare options in Roseville. Here's honestly how we're different:
- Smaller than most. Up to 40 children, across two classrooms. This changes the feel of the place completely, every child is genuinely known.
- Stable educators. Our team has been here for years, not months. When your child starts, they build relationships that last their entire time with us.
- Large outdoor playground. A proper outdoor play space with established gum trees, a cubby house, sandpit, and open grass.
- Anna, Director since 2009. The person who will likely show you around the centre on your tour is the same person who will be running it when your child starts.
- Play-based and child-led. With elements of the Reggio Emilia approach, guided by the Early Years Learning Framework. Children learn through curiosity and exploration, building the social, emotional and early academic foundations for school.
